Volunteer
The relationship CHI Friendship has with our communities is one of mutual benefit and reciprocity. We are proud volunteers in the Fargo and Grafton areas in many capacities, and we welcome volunteers who give their time and talents to CHI Friendship as well.
The people we support are well known in our communities for their loyalty and hard work as volunteers in various positions. Just a few of these ongoing and meaningful contributions include: adopting and maintaining local parks, reading at day cares, delivering Meals on Wheels, assisting at our local food banks, caring for the animals at Pampered Paws, Homeward Bound, and Natural Pet Center, and ringing the bells for the Salvation Army during the Christmas season.
CHI Friendship staff and people we support volunteer as a group in large-scale efforts as well, such as: ushering at Bluestem concerts, running concessions at Fargo Force hockey games, and serving local seniors during the United Way Day of Caring. Additionally, people we support in the Grafton vocational program spend one day during Earth Week every year teaching the local elementary school about the process and benefits of recycling.
We also recognize how CHI Friendship itself benefits from generous volunteers in our communities. This has included community members spending time with the people we support, painting, cleaning, and assisting with CHI Friendship events.
